The following pages encompass the virtual nafudakake (名札掛け literally name plate rack) of all of the students who have attained black belts via training with sensei Damien, encompassing students from Zen Dō Kai, Gōki Kai, Gōju Ryū and Kōbūdo.
The physical versions are held at the Southern Cross Martial Arts Honbu Dojo in Ballarat, Victoria.
Nafuda are thin, rectangular wooden plaques on which individuals’ names are written vertically in kanji or kana and often accompanied by Latin script. The plaques are usually made from a light wood such as pine and hand-painted.
